What are Mouth Grills?

You may have heard the phrase "Get out of my grill," or "I will punch you in your grill" from time to time, and may have wondered exactly what the word grill meant in that context. Most people think the word refers to someone's face. And it does, somewhat, although it really refers to a specific part of the face (the mouth). The term grill in this case comes from the popular accessory piece called a mouth grill. But what exactly is a mouth grill? A mouth grill is a dental piece worn over the teeth. It is made from making an imprinted mold of the top teeth (in some cases the bottom teeth as well), and then it is custom fitted and designed to the wearer's liking. Most grills are made of gold, silver, or platinum, and some are even adorned with small jewels or rhinestones. The grill is easily removed by just taking it off the teeth, and it shouldn't be worn when eating or sleeping.
